Dr Ekant Budhwani is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with specialist training in the diagnosis and management of digestive, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
He completed his advanced gastroenterology training at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG Hospitals), Hyderabad — one of India's leading centres for digestive disease — where he gained extensive experience in managing complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic conditions. He holds the European Specialty Examination in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (ESEGH, UK), aligned with internationally recognised standards.
He subsequently worked as a Consultant at Aakash Healthcare, New Delhi, where he was part of a multidisciplinary liver transplant team caring for patients with advanced liver disease. His clinical work includes therapeutic endoscopy, including ERCP and interventional procedures for biliary and pancreatic disorders.
Dr Budhwani has additional training in the International Bowel Ultrasound (IBUS) module, with a particular interest in the non-invasive assessment of inflammatory bowel disease. He contributes academically as a peer reviewer for the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) journal.
